Chris Christofides serves as Senior Managing Director of the Office of Digital Accessibility at Texas Tech University, where she leads the university's enterprise-wide digital accessibility and compliance program. As Texas Tech's designated Digital Accessibility Officer, she provides executive leadership for accessibility governance, policy development, technology procurement, institutional compliance, and long-term planning to help ensure the university's digital environment is accessible to all members of the campus community.
Leadership & Collaboration
Chris works closely with university leadership, faculty, staff, information technology professionals, procurement, legal counsel, and external vendors to integrate accessibility into every stage of the technology lifecycle, from evaluating new technologies and developing institutional policies to supporting accessible course materials and improving digital services. She believes accessibility is not simply about meeting legal requirements; it is about creating opportunities for every student, employee, and visitor to fully participate in university life.
Statewide & National Service
Beyond Texas Tech, Chris serves on the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Boards Learning Technology Advisory Committee (LTAC), where she collaborates with higher education leaders from across the state to help shape the future of instructional technology, digital learning, accessibility, and emerging technologies in Texas higher education. At Texas Tech, she serves as the universitys Digital Accessibility Officer, appointed by the Chief Information Officer in accordance with Texas Administrative Code requirements. She also serves as the institutions State Authorization Network (SAN) Coordinator and institutional representative to the National Council for State Authorization Reciprocity Agreements (NC-SARA). Through these roles, she contributes to institutional and statewide efforts to expand access, strengthen compliance, and support the responsible delivery of accessible, high-quality educational programs and digital experiences.
Teaching & Education
Chris is also an Assistant Professor of Practice and Area Coordinator in Legal Studies, where she teaches courses in legal studies, critical thinking, and legal reasoning. She is passionate about preparing students for careers in law, business, government, and public service by helping them develop the analytical thinking, communication, ethical decision-making, and problem-solving skills needed to succeed in an increasingly complex world.
Chris earned a Ph.D. in Technical Communication and Rhetoric from Texas Tech University and a Juris Doctor from the Maurer School of Law at Indiana University. Her interdisciplinary background allows her to bridge law, higher education, technology, and accessibility to develop practical, sustainable solutions that strengthen institutions while advancing equitable access.
A Personal Commitment to Accessibility
Following a life-changing accident and multiple surgeries, Chris experienced firsthand the challenges of navigating a world that is not always designed with accessibility in mind. That experience reinforced her belief that many barriers are invisible until we encounter them ourselves. It also shaped her leadership philosophy: meaningful accessibility begins with empathy, grows through education and collaboration, and ultimately becomes part of an institutional culture where everyone has the opportunity to succeed.

Read Jeff's bio
Jeff Luman is Lubbock through and through. Born in the Hub City, he is a graduate of Lubbock High School and a Texas Tech University alumnus with a bachelor's degree in English. His career in technology education began in the Lubbock Public Libraries, where he taught internet and computer classes for seniors and children, and he's been helping people feel at home with technology ever since.
Jeff has spent more than 20 years at Texas Tech working at the intersection of web technology, training, and accessibility. During his time with IT, he personally taught thousands of faculty and staff, covering topics ranging from accessibility, the full suite of Adobe products, and cybersecurity, to the universitys various web content management systems.
His growing involvement in digital accessibility, including the hands-on remediation of thousands of university web pages, became a particular area of expertise and ultimately led him to the Office of Digital Accessibility, where he now supports accessibility efforts across the university in a broader capacity.
A certified DHS Trusted Tester, Jeff develops training materials, teaches courses, and provides consultations that help campus communicators create accessible web pages, documents, and social media content. It is work he finds deeply gratifying. To Jeff, accessible content is more than a technical requirement; it is how Texas Tech helps ensure that its promise, From Here, Its Possible™, extends to every member of its audience.
Outside the office, Jeff is happiest at a board game table with friends or at home with his wife, Lindsey, his daughter Elizabeth, and the family's two pugs, Loki and Thor. Inside the office, he's known for something else entirely: a vintage 1980s toy collection that has entertained colleagues and serves as a resident conversation starter.

Rebecca is a proud Cajun and Louisiana native who has happily called West Texas home since 2022. After graduating from high school in Sulphur, Louisiana, she moved to Tucson, Arizona, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from the University of Arizona. During her undergraduate studies, she discovered a passion for investigating complex problems, uncovering solutions, and digging deeper into the details of each case. This interest inspired her to pursue graduate studies.
Rebecca joined Texas Tech University in 2022 to earn her master's degree in Forensic Science. While completing her degree, she began her career at Texas Tech as a Program Coordinator with the TTU Online Compliance and Academic Agreements team. After earning her master's degree, she briefly worked in law enforcement before returning to higher education as an Assistant Director with TTU Online. Her work in compliance, which began with researching requirements and ensuring regulatory alignment, ultimately led her to her current role as Associate Director of the Office of Digital Accessibility. What started as an interest in investigation and compliance has grown into a passion for creating a more accessible digital environment for students, faculty, staff, and community members.
Outside of work, Rebecca enjoys spending time with family and friends, getting lost in a good book (her TBR list is always growing), and spending time with her cat, Strudel. She can also be found singing karaoke, dominating board game and trivia nights, traveling to new places, and thrifting clothes and home décor to make them her own.
