President’s Annual Report // 2025

Note from the President

This past year marked meaningful progress for Texas Tech University. Across our campus, we strengthened academic programs, expanded opportunities for students, and supported research that addresses important challenges for our state and beyond.

We welcomed our largest incoming undergraduate class, saw continued growth in our research activity, and benefited greatly from the engagement of alumni and supporters through the ON&ON Campaign. These efforts reflect the steady, deliberate work taking place every day across the university.

This report highlights achievements from 2025, but it also reflects the dedication of the faculty, staff and students who make this university what it is. I am grateful for all you contribute to Texas Tech.

As we look to the year ahead, we do so with a clear sense of purpose and a strong foundation for the work before us. Thank you for your continued support of Texas Tech University.

Sincerely,

Security

Seekers

By leaning into our strengths, and with significant support from the state of Texas, Texas Tech has created the Texas Tech University Reese National Security Complex (RNSC) at the site formerly known as the Reese Technology Center. The decision establishes a series of ambitious goals signaling Texas Tech’s readiness to help drive efforts meant to ensure the safety, security and well-being of Texas and the United States. This evolution further positions Texas Tech as a leader in research supporting national resilience, innovation and defense-readiness.
