Construction Engineering

The Bachelor of Science in Construction Engineering curriculum builds a strong foundation in basic sciences, engineering principles, general education, and design. Students study mathematics, chemistry, physics, statics, fluid dynamics, soil mechanics, structural analysis, materials, surveying, construction management, safety, sustainability, cost estimating, methods, and electrical systems. General education strengthens communication and critical thinking. Lecture and laboratory courses connect theory with real-world application. Design experiences in concrete, steel, and a capstone project challenge students with open-ended, constraint-driven problems. Working in teams, students evaluate options and make informed decisions. The program culminates in a semester-long project simulating professional construction engineering practice.
