Texas Tech University’s Financial Planning Academy (FP Academy) has announced locations and dates for its unique summer program. Funded by Schwab Advisor Services in partnership with the Charles Schwab Foundation, FP Academy provides high school sophomores, juniors and seniors with an introduction to personal finance and the financial planning profession.
This year’s FP Academy will take place at the following locations:
- June 8-13: Texas Tech University
- June 23-27: The Ohio State University
- July 6-11: University of Georgia
- July 14-18: California State University, Fullerton
- Aug. 18-22: William Patterson University
The FP Academy, established within the College of Health & Human Sciences and sponsored by the Charles Schwab Foundation, is a prestigious summer program designed for rising high school students. Participants engage in a comprehensive financial planning case study, develop detailed financial plans and compete for scholarships and prizes. The program also offers students valuable exposure to the Registered Investment Advisory (RIA) industry and showcases financial planning as a dynamic and rewarding career path.
