It’s been a long time coming, but the stories of Texas Tech have a new home, and we invite you all to have a look around.
Welcome home, we're glad to have you here.
Let's start with a few introductions.
We are the Office of Communications & Marketing at Texas Tech University. You may have known us in our previous life, when we served mainly to produce news releases and media advisories. But things have changed, and if you do not know us now, you will.
Over the last several years, we've shifted our focus. We are no longer just a news organization. We are storytellers.
In 2020, we started creating Evermore. Since then, it's become an international award-winning publication that was even recognized as the best public relations magazine in the country. In short, Evermore set a high bar.
Fearless, the university's podcast, followed soon after. The first two seasons both won Gold Addy awards and the podcast has become a tent-pole for our storytelling.
Earlier this year, we launched the first episode of Foundations, a video roundtable discussion with Texas Tech experts, which we believe adds to our mission of sharing engaging stories.
Evermore, Fearless and Foundations were brought about with the goal of highlighting the excellence of Texas Tech and telling stories about the university and its people in the most captivating ways possible.
From these projects, we learned that there are too many good stories to tell, and not enough pages in Evermore or episodes of Fearless to fit them all. We wrote them anyway.
We sought out the heroes of Texas Tech, and time and time again, we found them.
What we lacked, until now, was a digital publication capable of highlighting those
stories to the degree they deserved.
We turned to our talented team of web developers and designers to fix that issue, and they have come through in a big way.
That team – Veronica Medina, Noemi Martínez, Bat Myagmarjav and Gary Eubanks – has put together a site we can all be proud of, and we hope to use it to its fullest.
What you'll find here is a modern storytelling platform, capable of combining the
outstanding work done by the photographers, videographers, podcast producers, writers
and designers in our office.
But this site isn't about us; it's about you.
What you'll find here are stories of triumph, grit, determination, pride and celebration. You'll find stories of Red Raiders from the past and those who will lead us into the future. You'll find fearless champions striving for honor and bearing our banners across the globe.
Above all, what you'll find here is the overarching message that, from right here at Texas Tech, nothing is impossible.
