Preview Template & Site Testing

When a preview version of the Texas Tech Global Template is released for testing, you should be able to view the new styles on any page in the current template.

To preview a website or page:

  1. Navigate to the first page you would like to view:
    Ex: https://www.depts.ttu.edu/itts/
  2. Append ?v=preview to the end of the URL:
    Ex: https://www.depts.ttu.edu/itts/?v=preview
  3. Review the webpage in the preview version of the template.
  4. As you navigate to other pages within TTU.EDU, the ?v=preview should remain in place, making it easy to view multiple pages. If for some reason the setting is not retained, repeat step #2 for the page in question.

How to Test Your Site

  • Go to your site's homepage and add ?v=preview to the end of the url.
    Ex: https://www.ttu.edu/administration/?v=preview
  • Review pages and make adjustments as needed.
  • Use the feedback form to alert the Office of Communications & Marketing and   IT TeamWeb of any issues you need help with or want to discuss.
