Institutional Effectiveness Committee Structure

Purpose

To engage all TTU constituents in institutional effectiveness (IE), IE committees are convened at the academic college/school level and at the service support level to provide guidance and feedback for program assessment plans. A university level IE committee is convened to provide guidance from across the university community to the IE team and the executive leadership of the university.

Charge

The IE Committees shall serve in an advisory capacity to the respective Deans and senior leadership regarding IE-related matters. The Committees provide leadership in reviewing and making recommendations for the IE processes regarding programs and units to their respective leaders and the Vice Provost for Institutional Effectiveness. Yearly, the IE Committees will perform IE select audits of academic and non-academic programs as directed by the committee chair(s).

Appointment

Appointments to the College/School IE committees are made by the respective deans. Appointments to the Support Service Level IE committee is made by the respective senior executive leader of those units that are defined as an Administrative Service Support Unit (SACSCOC Standard 7.3) or Academic & Student Support Service Unit (SACSCOC Standard 8.2.c). Members of the University Level IE Committee are appointed or elected from current College/School and Support Service Level committees; terms of service for the University Level Committee are for three years, and members may be reappointed. The Provost may appoint Ex Officio members. The Vice Provost for Institutional Effectiveness will serve as the chairperson.
