Social Work
A Bachelor of Arts in Social Work prepares generalist social workers who promote social justice, and human and societal well-being. Building on a foundation of professional values, knowledge, and skills, generalists use a person-in-environment framework to identify and solve problems in partnership with individuals, families, groups, organizations, and communities.
Accredited by the CSWE, the curriculum blends rigorous lecture-based coursework with practical experiences, culminating in 400 hours at a community agency during the final semester. This degree is unique in that graduates are immediately eligible to apply for state licensing, where available.
