Psychological Sciences

The Psychological Sciences program offers both Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Science degrees. The curriculum provides a robust foundation in experimental, theoretical, and applied psychology, preparing students for diverse careers in research, health care, and data analysis.

The program's status in a Carnegie Tier One Research Institution allows undergraduate students to engage in faculty-led research as early as their first year. How do I choose a major?

The College of Arts & Sciences has an Arts & Sciences Undeclared (ASUD) designation. Students with 30 hours or fewer qualify and work with Academic Success Advisors to determine their major while taking core requirements.

How do I get involved in research?

Students have several opportunities to pursue undergraduate research through the College of Arts & Sciences Undergraduate Research Academy (CASURA), Center for the Integration of STEM Education & Research (CISER) and Center for Transformative Undergraduate Experiences (TrUE).

Students can also contact faculty members, ask academic advisors and review departmental publications, bulletin boards and webpages for research opportunities.
