Texas Tech K-12 hosted a dozen education administrators who may become new international partners.
In mid-September, the Texas Tech University campus in Lubbock hosted school administrators from Brazil researching the benefits of becoming international partners with Texas Tech K-12. The week’s events could potentially yield seven new partners.
The delegation spent four days touring campus, meeting with university and K-12 representatives, viewing presentations from various departments and colleges, including dance and arts at International Affairs, and enjoying West Texas cuisine, shopping and taking in the Texas Tech vs. Houston football game.

Partner organizations brought educators from many schools in Brazil. Liberty Education, a longtime partner, brought a cohort comprising Guilherme Reischl, executive director; Matheus Enzweiler, sales manager; Daniel Potenza, international education specialist; Lucas Fernandes, marketing and business development manager; and Nadya Feijó, sales executive.

Prospective schools and their representatives included:
- Jane Segaspini and Pierina Bernardi, both principals, and Carla Fonseca, financial director, from Colégio Dom Feliciano.
- George Gonçalves, principal, and Victor Tibúrcio, coordinator, from Colégio Levorsse.
- Ana Beatriz de Sousa, coordinator, from Colégio Verum.
- Rosilene Rodrigues, principal, and Bruno Fischetti, franchisor representative, from ARCO Educação Group WAYS Bilingual School.
- Gabriel Paiva, principal, and Aline Gurgaczs, chancellor, from Colégio Fag Bilingue.
- Jose Matiolla School, principal, from Colégio Dehon.
- Luciana Clemente, principal, from Colégio Dom Inacio.
- Rafaela Moura, coordinator, from Colégio Nazareno.

Cari Moye is principal of Recruitment, Investment, Strategic Partnerships & Pathways and Engagement for Texas Tech K-12. Having served various leadership roles within the school since 2012, Moye has seen international partnerships grow and deepen over time. Brazil was the first country to collaborate with the school.
She said the staff made sure that, throughout their visit, the Brazilian delegation didn’t just feel like guests but part of the Texas Tech family.

“Our Brazilian partners were truly blown away by Texas Tech and the warmth of our campus community,” Moye said. “It was an incredible opportunity to strengthen the relationships we’ve built and look ahead to what’s next. We’re excited to continue expanding our partnerships, welcome additional schools into the Texas Tech K-12 family and begin creating new opportunities for their students. We are honored to be part of their students’ educational journey.”
