Kinesiology
The Kinesiology program in the College of Arts & Sciences at Texas Tech offers a Bachelor of Science focused on the scientific foundations of human movement and exercise. The curriculum prepares students for careers in sports science and serves as a premier pre-professional track for allied health fields such as physical therapy and occupational therapy.
The mandatory 18-hour minor allows students to specialize in areas such as General Business or Health Professions. The program offers an optional 200-hour capstone internship. This real-world experience allows seniors to work directly with clients at approved sites nationwide, ranging from a strength and conditioning coach with an athletic team to cardiac rehabilitation centers.
