Founded in 1934, the department was the first Industrial Engineering (IE) program in Texas and among the earliest Industrial Engineering programs nationwide.

IE 4316 - Simulation Systems Modeling
Fundamentals of Monte Carlo methods. Systematic development, programming, and analysis of computer simulation models using a high-level simulation language such as Arena.

IE 4306 - Advanced Systems Safety Engineering
