Due to expected worsening weather conditions, Texas Tech University in Lubbock will close today (Jan. 23) at 12:00 p.m. An early release is in effect. This includes Texas Tech University System Administration employees.
Employees
Employees who are able to work remotely may continue to do so for the remainder of the day. Those whose duties cannot be performed remotely should coordinate with their supervisors.
Classes
Online courses may continue as scheduled. In-person classes and activities scheduled after noon are canceled.
Events
All university sponsored (non athletics) events are canceled for the rest of the day.
Essential services will continue to operate as necessary.
