I am pleased to share two important updates regarding key personnel at Texas Tech University.
Welcoming Anny Morrobel-Sosa
Dr. Anny Morrobel-Sosa joined us in July as the interim Senior Special Assistant to the President and Provost. Anny will play a key role in advancing our research and academic priorities. She will focus on aligning our research development plans with our strategic goals and the benchmarks set by the Association of American Universities (AAU).
Anny comes to us with a distinguished background, having served as Vice President for Academic and Student Affairs for the University of Wisconsin System, with over 170,000 students. Her experience also includes roles as Provost and Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs at Lehman College in New York and Dean of the College of Science at the University of Texas at El Paso.
Promotion of Jorge Iber
I am also pleased to announce the promotion of Dr. Jorge Iber to Vice President for Campus Access & Engagement. Jorge, who has been serving as interim Vice President, will continue to lead efforts to support our students, faculty, and staff. His deep institutional knowledge and commitment to our community will be invaluable in this role.
Please join me in congratulating Anny and Jorge on their new positions. Together, our collaborative efforts will continue advancing Texas Techs mission and objectives.
