Dear Campus Community,
Texas Tech is built on a strong foundation of shared governance. With elected leaders to represent students, staff and faculty, you have a great opportunity to ensure that your voice is heard through active involvement or engagement with one of your representatives. As we close the academic year, we are transitioning from our current student, staff and faculty governance bodies to newly elected representatives and leadership.
We would like to thank the outgoing leaders for their service and welcome the new representatives of these bodies. The manner in which you share the perspectives and input of the university community matters. Leadership-directed change can be fleeting and modified with each transition to the new administration. However, lasting and deep cultural progress, created and sustained through compromise and collaboration, allows us to advance the university's best interests.
We encourage and invite you to visit the Student Government Association, Staff Senate and Faculty Senate websites to ensure you know who represents your interests. Please consider getting involved and take advantage of the opportunity to be a part of a university that values shared governance. Every member of the university community has a meaningful role in advancing Texas Tech, and we welcome your participation.
Best,
