What is an event?
A planned gathering or activity that includes pre-planning that is being hosted by/on Texas Tech University campus. This event can be open to the community, campus community or a selected group. Events include conferences, fundraisers, workshops, training programs, as well as cultural, sporting and social functions.
My event is outside what form do I fill out?
All outside events must get approval from the Grounds Use Committee.
My event is in-person and virtual. Do I still fill out the form?
Yes, when filling out the form, please let us know your event is Hybrid. We will still ask you for a location and also a link. If your link is not ready, please let us know by emailing us atcampusevent@ttu.edu. We can update the link when you have it.
Do I need marketing/imagery for my event to submit?
Yes, we ask that all events have marketing/imagery prior to submitting. The imagery will be used for our calendar and will help guests identify your event.
When in the planning process of my event, do I submit the Event Form?
Please submit the events form when you have completed your planning and received the necessary approvals for your event. Please consider this to be your final step in your planning process.
What is the process for selecting dates for my event?
When selecting your dates, we first ask they you look at religious holidays and non-religious holidays that may exclude a group of the community from attendinghttps://nationaltoday.com/religious-holidays/
The next step would be looking at your location and making sure your date is available.
If you are looking at using an event where athletic events occur, we also recommend
looking at the athletic calendar.

Will this form replace all other event forms (room reservation, parking, etc.)
No, you will still need to fill out any and all other necessary forms for your event.
This form is to get your event on the calendar and will not serve as any reservations
or requests.
How far in advance do I need to submit my event?
At least two weeks prior to the event.
