EVENT SUBMISSION
What is an Event?
A planned gathering or activity that includes pre-planning that is being hosted by/on Texas Tech University campus. This event can be open to the community, campus community or a selected group. Events include conferences, fundraisers, workshops, training programs, as well as cultural, sporting and social functions.
Event Submission Process
All events held on the Texas Tech University Lubbock campus must be registered for approval through the Office of Campus Events. The process to submit events for approval has been streamlined through one convenient form. Once an event planner submits the form, various campus entities will be automatically notified for necessary approvals, as required by campus operating policies and procedures. These campus entities include but are not limited to Environment Health & Safety, Texas Tech Police, Texas Tech Fire Marshall, Operations, etc.
If the event involves the request for use of university grounds, a grounds-use approval process will be started automatically, and you may be required to attend a grounds-use meeting before your event is granted approval. The more information you provide on the form, the less your chance of being called to attend a grounds-use meeting.
Events submitted by an individual or organization that is not affiliated with Texas Tech will require a Texas Tech individual to serve as the sponsor.

Selected university grounds are available for activities which are sponsored by registered student organizations, university departments, or individual students and employees. Academic use by departments has priority, and assignments may be changed or cancelled if they conflict with regular academic programs. All use must be approved. Solicitation
The primary mission of the University is educational. The University is responsible for promoting and protecting the intellectual and cultural growth and development of the institution and the members of its community. Therefore, solicitations or advertisements, sales, displays, or distributions of publications on the campus are not permitted except as provided for below or as provided for by law.
