OK, I have a question for the group.  I'm all set to pilot a "writing
fellows" program this spring, linking writing tutors with courses in
Engineering, Psychology, Nursing, Paralegal that have heavy writing
components.
   Some of these programs have the writing tutors comment on sets of first
drafts, while others have the tutor just be available for conferences on the
drafts.   Here's my question:
   What are the pros and cons of having writing tutors comment on first
drafts?   
(I'm at a community college so the writing tutors are undergraduates)
