Join NEWCA Panel on Proposing Peer Tutor Courses

Howard Tinberg and I are putting together a presentation (possibly even a
workshop or round table) on the rhetoric and politics of course proposals.

We and are looking for another co-presenter, preferably someone from a large
university but potentially anyone, who has recently proposed a course for
which the primary purpose
is to teach students how to respond to writing one-on-one and face-to-face.

We believe that hearing how we managed to guide a proposal through our
institutions (or how we failed even), and seeing the documents that
supported our proposals, will encourage others to make the attempt or at
least warn them of the potential pitfalls. Members of the audience who
already have courses in place may enjoy telling their stories to others and
sharing supporting documents.

If you are interested in joining us, please respond to me offline.

The Northeast Writing Center Association will hold its annual conference in
Keene, NH on March 25. Proposals are due December 1
