Re: Problems with posting messages.
Group,
Well, last week, due to the concerns with spamming, I changed the listproc
commands to permit only subscribers to post to the list.
Problem: Unfortunately, when I closed the list to subscribers only, people
whose current addresses are no longer the same as the one under which they
originally subscribed can not post because listproc does not recognize them
as listmembers. Seems like, however, that in spite of the change of
address, you will continue to receive messages from wcenter.
Solution: If you try to post a message and you get a message that you can't
post because you're not a subscriber, send a message to me telling me your
situation. I will have to remove your old address because you can't signoff
because of your new address. Then you will have to subscribe again. Of
course, there may be a simpler solution, but at this time, I'm not familiar
with it.
To subscribe to wcenter, send a message to
listproc@listserv.ttu.edu
The message should read
subscribe wcenter yourfirstname yourlastname
Then follow subsequent instructions.
Of course, to signoff wcenter (assuming you can--beginning to sound like
Catch 22), send the message
signoff wcenter
If you subscribe prior to my removing your old address, you will probably
receive two sets of postings.
Sorry for the inconvenience.
