Re: commands
Lady and others,
Here's the snippet from the ACW-L FAQ explaining what non-subbers get.
Since it's the same server and system, the WCenter non-subbers should get
the same thing -- with "WCENTER" wherever "ACW-L" appears
11. Why can't I post? And what should I do so that I can post?
To cut down on spam, ACW-L was changed to a "subscribers only" list in
July 1998. To send a message to the list, you must be posting mail from
the exact e-mail address from which you subscribed. Even a slight change
(from @sleepy.utexas.edu to @utexas.edu) will cause a sender's message to
be returned unposted.
If your message is bounced you'll see something like the following:
>To: poor_soul@school.edu
>Subject: list ACW-L: List Message Rejected
>
>Dear poor_soul@school.edu:

>Your recent message to the ACW-L list has been

If your message is bounced, try one of these options:
-- switch to the email account that you originally subscribed from
-- subscribe to the list from your current email address (Send a message
to LISTPROC@LISTSERV.TTU.EDU and in the body of the message, send the
command: subscribe ACW-L _YourName_ <-- Replace "YourName" with your real
name. For instance, type: subscribe ACW-L Christina Rossetti That is, if
your name is Christina Rossetti.
-- email Fred at f.kemp@ttu.edu if your situation is more complicated (for
example, if your email address has changed slightly, and you want someone
to correct your existing subscription).
