adequate staffing

Hello everyone.  I am in the process of converting a computer lab
to a writing center and have the opportunity to make a request for
future staffing.  Our university has about 6000 students on its
main campus, and 50-100 students use the lab daily as is--mostly
for wordprocessing, internet use, grammar tutorials, and sometimes
collaborative writing projects.  We began tutoring this semester on
a small scale--with myself and a graduate student I have for 10
hours a week tutoring.  I'd like to increase our tutoring.  The
staff I inherited is all work-study, with the exception of the
graduate student.  The questions I have are

1)  How many tutors are on your staff?

2) How are they paid?

3)  How do you find your tutors?

3) Are your tutors required to complete a course, or do you have
on-the-job trianig?

I'd appreciate your feedback and any advice you have for making the
