The Writing Center at UNH has a student-made quilt featuring quotes and
images with a language theme, an old framed quilt section which acts as a
prompt:  Writing is like quilting because ..., Writing is like X because
_____.  Passersby can create their own metaphors and hang them on the wall.
 We also have sheets of magnetic poetry that students or staff can play
with to make new lovely new pieces of language daily.  Large baskets of
cheap candy round out the scene.
