SOS: Caribbean Conferences?

hey y'all,

i need some help. our travel committee is about to be sucked dry early
again (next week) by all those lying toad faculty who say they have papers
accepted for late spring already. so many of us want to book early, too, if
we can get some early acceptance.

i, for one, want to go to a conference this year in the caribbean. does
anyone know of any conferences there? anyone know anyone at the college of
the caribbean? anyone ready to create a conference there? the only thing
i've found so far on the net are conferences in engineering, and i don't
want to have the little umbrella in my drink withered talking about stress
studies in bridge supports.

i command you, help me now, before the nights get any colder in the mts. in
oregon! you can send info. off-list, unless others are sick of slipping on
black ice in fog and also want to go somewhere warmer.
