I used to be a "super" GTA, but have recently been promoted to a fulltime,
permanent staff member.

I teach one course per semester. Usually, it is a Composition Theory and
Practice course from which I recruit many of the tutors that work in our
WC. Because the English Dept. was short of FReshman Comp teachers this
semester, I asked for a second course (for additional money). I find that
I am now working 50 to 60 hours/week.

UTA has an enrollment of approximately 18,000 students. I currently have
a staff of 19 undergraduate tutors and 4 graduate tutors for a total of 23
tutors. I am the only fulltime staff person. We do approx. 2000 tutoring
sessions per semester and that does not include the number of times we
help people with basic word processing in our computer lab.

As indicated above, I am also responsible for maintaining a computer lab.
Other than that and some committee work, I am not "in charge" of anything
else.

I often feel overwhelmed with my responsibilities. YOu have my
sympathies and my good wishes. Good luck with the report.
