I am officially listed as fullt-ime non tenrue track instructor of English
and the Director of the Writing Room. I am on a twelve-month contract.

I either have 3/4 release time from teaching to direct the Writing Room or
1/4 release time from directing the Writing Room to teach depending upon
your perspective

USCA has about 4,000 students, many part-time. We had just under 1,000
consultations in 97-98.
This year, the Writing Room is staffed by five undergraduate Writing Room
consultants, four Technology and Writing Consultants that split their time
between the Writing Room and a computer suite across campu and me.

I conduct some workshops and guest lectures in addition to other classroom
visits. Students house, compile and submit their Rising Junior Writing
Portfolios in the Writing Room. I sit on a number of committees, including
the English Department Assessment Committee.
