Re: released time for administrators
I am happy to share this information, and would (again) appreciate seeing
how others profile their job (see below) particularly those at small
liberal arts colleges like Concordia

I am ass't professor of English and (self titled) Director of the Writing
Center

I teach 3 courses each sememster -- composition, creative writing, Poetry
(lit) and am given three hours releast time to run the writing center (the
normal load is 4-4)

about 1100, a lot of non-traditional students; we see about 200 students a
semester (increases every year) It doesn't seem like we're exactly an
equivalent institution -- I have an undergraduate staff of 6 students.

I finally negotiated my way out of co-ordinating all other academic
tutoring with the argument that I needed/wanted to do more with WAC in the
school and grow the writing center as the center for WAC on campus.
