Peer Centered: an online forum for writing tutors

Hi All,

Based on the interest of folks on WCENTER, I've put together a web page that outlines a possible real-time online forum for peer writing tutors. I've named the gatherings "Peer Centered: an online forum for writing tutors." I would appreciate comments/suggestions about the forums and the web page. You can find it at:

If you direct a WC, please refer any peer tutors/consultants to the site to get their feedback. To save list spam, please direct comments, suggestions to me at cgardner@englab.slcc.edu.

On the page, you will find information about the forum, a schedule, how to connect to the MOO and other useful resources. The schedule delineates when the forum will be and where it will be on the MOO.

I have plopped in some possible session topics to get the ball rolling for topic suggestion....my topics are by no means fixed...I just polled the folks who work in our WC what kinds of topics they would like to discuss with their colleagues around the world. Please offer up suggestions for topics!

Quite fittingly our first "event" will be a Inaugural Bash...see the web page for more details. I've tentatively scheduled it for Wednesday October 7 at 8/7/6/5 pm e/c/m/pdt . (1:00 am GMT). We can, of course, change this time if necessary.
