Marketing a Peer Tutor Course




I'm proposing a for-credit course on peer tutoring here at Bridgewater State
College, which would be a prerequisite to working in the WC.

My question:  how do we make the course attractive to a broad range of
students?  I'm wary of assuming that students will want to work in the WC so
badly that they will take the course just to get in (the pay is minimum wage
for undergraduates).  How have other English departments marketed the course
to students and the faculty who advise them on what course work to do?  

I'm particularly interestsed in how I can market the course to students who
aren't English majors.
