Chad and others,

Here are my problems with computers in the writing center: Students go
there for the computers and not for the tutoring. I kept statistics this
spring that showed something like 530 students visiting the writing
center's computer lab (half of them came at least twice), and 178 students
visiting the tutoring center. The centers have a open, connecting door, so
it isn't as if the students using the computer lab don't know about the
tutoring center and vice-versa. I'm trying to find a way to get them to
move from typing to tutoring or tutoring to typing. They seem to do one or
the other.

Any suggestions?
