At UM the summers are also slow.  We have a greatly reduced staff (two tutors
and a secretary and me) and a greatly reduced clientele, especially at the
very beginning of each of the two summer terms.  We keep busy with large
organizational projects.  This term, for example, we have reorganized our
handouts and packets, alphabetically and by topics, and have reorganized
our originals likewise and numbered both accordingly.  We have also checked
all originals to make sure they are accurate and legible.  Next term we'll
update our tutor handbooks and make extra copies.  How pure we feel after
such accomplishments!  And how ready to meet the new academic year!
