Re: editing skills

The strategy that seems to be most effective for my students in the
classroom AND in the writing center is to read their drafts aloud, one
sentence at a time--backwards (the last sentence, next to last, etc).
This makes the sentences stand out of context and I've found most
students hear their mistakes.
