Pat -- your plans for the review process sound wonderful.  At the risk
of making a ridiculously obvious observation, it would seem that your
beginning the student writing center would be the outcome of desires
expressed by the faculty you've been serving in the WAC or WID
capacity.  If so, then that seems to me to be an enviable position to be
in (and to flaunt) -- and bodes well for faculty support of the new
endeavor. Here at ISU, I'm sort of doing it the other way -- there has
been a writing center for years, but we're using that to build an
informal WAC program.
