Re:search engine or how to fit the finicky goose

Lynne--

Hmmmm. Would a 200-pound goat in a dress pass for a lawn ornament in
Peoria? Well, I'm afraid the goat would be too functional to play in
Peoria. I'm pretty sure two of the most desireable characteristics are
weight and immobility--that is, the inability to resist being dressed in a
bikini top, sunglasses, and a sunhat. (Or like the lawn goose on Vernon
Street near my home in Normal....dressed in a shirt, flat cloth cap, and a
strap holding a miniature golf club to its side.) What is the cuteness
quotient of a goat in a dress? Lawn ornaments have to be cute in these
parts. Or, if they're not cute, they have to be large--like a concrete
horse or a couple of concrete deer. As far as I know, the only *moving*
object that qualifies as lawn ornamentation around here is a riding mower.
