Lauren,
I am sending a post from South Louisiana, but this information may still be of help
to you. After two full semesters of work in our center, a consultant with a
Bachelor's degree is eligible for $6000 per semester (about 12.50/hour based on a
sixteen week semester at 30 hours per week). This is only if the university will
allot the funds, however. Before the third semester of work, the consultant would
make $4000 per semester (about 8.50/hour based on a sixteen week semester at 30
hours per week). One difference you may want to keep in mind is that these
individuals are expected to have a working knowledge of computers and to be fairly
proficient in several software programs. They may also help with some of the
administrative type duties required by a writing center. I hope this is of some use
to you.
Connie
