Request for comparative salaries

Esteemed colleagues:

Hope your offices are warmer than mine is today!  It's f-f-f-frEEzing here
in southeastern PA!

I have a favor to ask of those of you who work in small 4-year colleges
like I do:

My job title is "Writing Specialist" (a 12-month, permanent, non-tenured
position) at a 4-year college with about 2500 resident students plus a
non-traditional population of about 700.  This position and the Writing
Center itself were created 5 years ago, and during the 2 years that I've
been aboard, the position has become more far-reaching than it had been in
the past (offering varied writing workshops regularly, serving as a writing
consultant and helping create writing admissions standards for the
college's growing degree completion program, creating resource materials
for the Writing Center, and creating and teaching a 3-credit course in
which to train writing assistants).

The additional responsibility has not been met with additional compensation
(I'm sure we're all dancing to this bad tune; I'm dancing to $26K), and I'm
wondering whether those of you who work in colleges of similar size could
contact me off-list so that I can get a sense of comparative salaries for
this kind of position.

I'd be glad to post the range/mean to the list!
