Re: Funding for ads
Sometimes Student Governments are great sources
for advertising money (they might even have a specific
fund marked for advertising for student events/services).
Our Student Government Association once sponsored a
newspaper ad in our student paper as well as an open
house. The newspaper ad was especially nice: because
Student Government paid for it, their logo in the corner
of the ad was a sort of endorsement.
Or an idea stolen from Jeanne Simpson: residence hall
RA's often have to put up a bulletin board a month.
If the WRiting Center volunteers to do one, the RA is
usually happy to get off the hook for that month and
might even be happy to donate supplies.
