I have the same problem.  I never see my own  messages, so I too would be 
interested to the response to Sharon's message.

I sent the birthday cake twice because I didn't receive my own message
after I sent it the first time.  So will someone please tell me how to set
my subscription so I get my own messages as well as all the super ones
the rest of you send.
