union question

I'd like to post a question that may be only
indirectly related to writing centers, but
which may interest the list nonetheless.

We are considering including part-time
faculty and staff in the faculty union. A
"solidarity" committee of full- and part-time
faculty has been working since last spring to
collect information and to talk with Faculty
Association members. We've now been
asked to make a formal presentation to the
Association. 

We need precedents! If your school has
either a union that combines both f-t and p-t
faculty or separate unions, would you let me
know? You can respond off-line, if you'd like.
