Re: the 'logic' of training tutors thru' EN
Virginia, the course at Rollins College (Winter Park, FL) is English
351-52, Assessing and Responding to Writing. It offers full course
credit, though it is set up nontraditionally, with half the course being
offered each term, so the first-year consultants have the course spread
over a full academic year. (Hence, the 2 numbers for a single course).
We also offer English 451-52, Advanced Writing Consultancy, for those
seeking to do advanced projects. The peer writing consultants are
selected from across the curriculum, and the course in the English
Department has worked fine. It also counts as an elective in our
Writing Minor.
Hope you get lots of quick response in time!

Writing across the Curriculum
