Carla,
here we do a number of different things--there's the usual flyers
available in the library, the student center information desk and
posted around campus; we also have all of our College Writing
faculty pass out a flyer to their students (good for the
freshlings--we by-pass their first day advising packets because
there is so much other stuff in them; passing them out during class
means they at least read the flyer). We have also been advertising on
our campus TV station--peer tutors did the commercials and they are
broadcast all term. We do the same on the campus radio station. We
also are on the digital message board in the cafeteria. We're
thinking of expanding our outreach of flyers to other faculty members-
I'll make my usual remarks at our annual fall faculty workshop (just
prior to the fall term's start up). If anyone does other things,
please let me know, too. I'm about tapped out on ideas.
