Looks like it *could* be a brilliant idea --provided the writing center's
consultants are *paid* like consultants. If the department's GTA's reap
the profit from the tutor's work, this will mighty bad indeed. But with
some creativity, I bet you could come up with a way to help businesses
that desperately need and are willing to pay fair rates for quality
writing assistance, and in the process boost the pay of tutors and GTAs.
The experience of working in the business world would do no end of good
for the tutors, too.
