Grammatica

Hi, all. I've become obsessed recently with finding neat historical
representations (both visual and literary) of Grammar to make use use of in
my classes and our WCenter. It all started with Mike Rose's allusion (in
LIVES, pp. 1-2) to a rather frightening visualization of the goddess
Grammatica from the Middle Ages (which I still haven't found). Trouble is,
our library is terribly inadequate for this kind of art history research.
So do folks know of any readily available sources I might lay my hands on?
Can I presume to ask you all to fax over copies of any more obscure
pictures that you already possess? Any fun literary images you'd care to
pass along. I'd be happy to share my little "catalogue" with any
interested. Thanks.
