meeting on the net
btw: I'd like to see if I can, with this postscript, start a new
thread.

This is a topic that I would certainly like to explore further. I
got to use NetMeeting briefly at a workshop at Virginia Tech. It is
already being used by instructors at some schools (such as VAtech)
for instructional purposes, but I would particularly like to hear
about how such a connection could be applied to writing consultation.
I am starting work on a WC outreach to students in our adult
distance programs, and I would sure like to hear if someone else has
tried this type of software to engage in synchronous (as opposed to e-
mail or non-synchronous "news" type bbs) synchronous writing
conferences.
