I'm not that expert on flaming, but I agree that Writing Center is 
professionally more than helpful.  Helpful +.  But I always entertain 
doubts about the intention or purpose, which really can hardly be 
entirely the author's, I think particularly in this medium.    Only 
James Joyce surely could be realistic enough to claim for a text of 
his book, perhaps only a publisher's claim, a publisher presumably 
having a reason to be that realistic, that it embodied all the 
author's corrections.  So many issues raised about sensitivity, 
inhibition, correctness, certainty--and so little space, i mean time. 
"Conscience makes cowards of us all."  Probably since we all know we 
have precious little space or time, maybe money's the root condition.
