Jeanne Simpson provided some valuable clarification about the reasons why
people leave sessions: it isn't always about the speaker.  I'd draw a
distinction, though, between leaving *between* speakers and leaving in the
middle of a speaker's presentation.  The former seems reasonable, but the
latter--well, regardless of the work piling up, the chance to see
something else, and so on, unless the room is huge and one person won't be
missed, sticking with the presentation for the remaining 15 minutes seems
a better alternative.
