Well, I guess I decided long ago that part of collaboration is
enacting it. The tutors have an equal voice in selecting students
for the class and for selecting from the class those who will then go
on to be tutors. They've not only learned another side of
collaboration, they've also sharpened their own application
skills. They make really shrewd statements about their peers in these
interviews, and they see things I don't. It's so heartening to see how
much we agree. Only occasionally, as in the case of this 15-year old,
do we find some disagreement in the group. And that's what we're
working out now. So, you've all become part of our discussion, and I
think the discussion is now leaning toward including her for all the
reasons you raised. But we'll keep in mind your reservations as well.
