Lady Falls Brown said that Linda Peterson said that "writing center
folk compete with the teacher for the student's affection."

Why not make it a Cyrnao de Bergerac fable?  The client comes to the Writing 
Center and says, "Will you help me please the teacher?"  I say "Sure."  But in 
the process, I end up falling for the teacher.  So now the client and I are 
competing for the teacher's affection.

The only question is:  Will the teacher love me despite my prominent proboscis?
