in the student's court. You might also consider posting some of the
responses, edited down, on a web site, so that students could get a
collective sense of their work as writers. You might also query students
about the content of their papers and the struggles they encounter as they
"organize" not just their papers but their social relationship to their
professions.
I mean, why limit yourself to a case-by-case work load?
