Dear Kevin,
	I was going to suggest "dehumanize" and "depersonalize,"  but
Cliff beat me to it.  The word "reify" comes to mind, though it is not
what you are looking for.  To reify is to treat an abstraction as if it
were a concrete thing (from the latin "res", which means "thing").  I
supposed you could "dereify" someone.  "Dereify" is, of course, a
derivative of "derriere," which when used as its more popular synonym,
will surely dehumanize.
